I looked into the 2015 Gordon Bell Prize winner to see what type of scaling it exhibited.
It is titled "An Extreme-Scale Implicit Solver for Complex PDEs: Highly Heterogeneous Flow in Earth’s Mantle". It presents memory-constrained scaling in attempting to solve a finely meshed grid of the earth's mantle, and time-constrained scaling in attempting to achieve fast convergence of the solver.
