Here, if we update along diagonals, we will need to use the updated values of upper and left element. The next slides say that Gauss-Seidel guarantees this is permissive. I wonder, if our math computation formula is stong nonlinear and requires rigidly that we must use the original values of the surrounding elements, then there exists no parallelism if we do not double copy the data?
