Kayvon explained how this program contains parallelism in lecture: the 'forall' in the program executes the body of the loop on each iteration in parallel since the data is independent of each other. Would this example be similar to creating a pthread for each data iteration and then joining the pthreads after all threads have finished computing?

@mitraraman Notice thread libraries, like pthread, may have their own scheduling algorithm, and their utilization of cpu resource is also affected by underlying kernel thread scheduling, ie, user level threading only tells the kernel that the work of different threads CAN be done in parallel, not necessarily so considering OS may choose to run them in other fashion depending on scheduling issue.
