ISPC has an excellently written user's guide.

It is highly recommend that you read the following sections:

• The execution model
• The language reference, in particular the part about control flow.

These sections largely discuss ISPC programming abstractions. The performance guide begins to dig deeper into how the compiler will implement these abstractions on a modern multi-core CPU with SIMD instructions.
