There's actually a really neat startup in Seattle called Intentional Software working on making domain-specific languages more available. Their goal is to provide a "meta-language" using which domain experts can write their own domain-specific languages for fun and profit. It still has a ways to go before hitting it big, but it's a really neat idea.
