Currently, the world's fastest supercomputer is the Tianhe-2 from China's National University of Defense Technology. It is said to have a peak performance of 54.9 PFlops and has neo-heterogeneous nodes, which means there is more flexibility and efficiency for developers. There is a presentation from the university on Tianhe-2 here.
